On 25th May 2004, Rotary Surat Riverside organized a seminar but with a difference. Whereas Counseling and Guidance seminars in the past have invariably focused on the performance of and opportunities available for the higher scoring students, this seminar was dedicated to those students of Science Stream (Std. 12) whose performance has been near the pass grade.

Dr. Kamlesh Dave, a psychiatrist at New Civil Hospital, who runs the DASH helpline for the distressed students also counseled and encouraged the students and gave them insights as how this is not the end but the beginning to a new road ahead.

The need of this kind of seminar could be judged from the heavy audience (80 and more) and participation of nearly 40 students – who were given guidance by Mr. Thakor when individual queries were answered and solved by the eminent speakers.

Out of the many options few are mentioned below:
