Happy Birthday with the Remand Home Children:-
Celebrating Birthday with Reman Home Children
Mankind is our Business: This slogan is well understood by our new member Rtn. Pankaj Gandhi and Ann Manisha. Their son celebrated his birthday on 21st January 2002 and guess where? You won’t find a better place for a birthday party and company than the ‘Remand Home’ amongst the 40 resident homeless children.
The joy and cheer that these 40 children feel when you are amongst them is the real blessing on our child. This also shows our children that there are children like them, but unprivileged, deprived and need help. The attitude of giving and sharing will develop in them.
The Gandhis also donated bed sheets for the remand home children. Thank you Rtn. Pankaj Gandhi. Riverside members salute you for your affectionate and kind gesture
Republic Day Celebrations with the Observation Home Children:-
Republic Day Celebration with Remand Home Children
For a change, this time the Anns took the forefront. They organized Republic Day Celebrations with the children of the Juvenile Home, located on Ghod Dod Road. The Home houses delinquent and abandoned / runaway children below the age of 16..html
The function began on 26-1-02 with an introductory speech, followed by the flag hoisting, which was done by Ann Hyacinth. Ann Pinky then addressed the children and the Superintendent of the Home. Thereafter sports and games were conducted for the children, very deftly handled by Ann Amisha and Ann Alpa. Rtn. Tasnim proposed the vote of thanks. Prizes were distributed to the winners and finally the children were treated to a variety of snacks arranged by Ann Gracy, Pinky and Manisha..html
It was indeed heartening to see the children enjoying themselves, singing and actively participating in the fun. The Superintendent, Staff and the children of the Home expressed their deep gratitude to all for having taken time off to be with them.
Thank you Anns for being present and extending your hand to these less fortunate children. You did show them… You Care…
